Phoenix Sol-By-Sol Summary

This page attempts to collect and organize information on this website about Phoenix' sol-by-sol activities. It was last updated on November 4, 2008.

Other useful resources for sol-by-sol activities include the Phoenix SSI raw images page at Texas A&M and the Phoenix RAC raw images page here on The Planetary Society's website. Also check our Phoenix news archives and especially the Weblog, where you'll find updates on at least a weekly basis. Earth calendar dates are approximate (give or take a day).

Some abbreviations: AFM = Atomic Force Microscope; OM = optical microscope; TECP = Thermal and Electrical Conductivity probe, on tip of robotic arm for soil and sky studies; TEGA = Thermal and Evolved Gas Analyzer, house-shaped box on deck; WCL = wet chemistry lab; OFB = Organic Free Blank (used for TEGA to calibrate any potential detection of organic materials)
